TNM OpenLayers Viewer Framework

The USGS Center for Integrated Data Analytics - cida.usgs.gov - created this prototype in Summer 2010 for The National Map Viewer Framework in OpenLayers. National Parks Lichens Map Viewer using TNM Base Maps

The Biological Informatics Program has rewritten the National Parks Lichens Map Viewer to use base map layers from TNM. The new viewer is written using the Google API and in addition to using TNM base maps it will also bring in the GAP land cover dataset. This map uses The National Map services from the USGS for the base map, and a service with the 2001 National Land Cover Dataset. The National Map base map services are published by The National Map, while the NLCD service was published by ESRI using USGS data.
